Gorgeous Edwardian Era Light Blue Silk Skirt & Waist Blouse w/Lace Applique

Pre-1920'sThough very similar, this skirt and blouse are not an original set. They are authentic and date to the early 1900's, but the fabric is different and color is slightly off. The waist blouse is exceptional in a sheer light blue silk tissue crepe and features pin tucks with ball drop tassels along bottom edge and on edge of sleeve cuff, gathered waistband and long sleeves that are beautifully detailed with sheer off white flare at cuff that comes to a point and has the little ball drop tassels on edge. Shoulders have vertical tucks and neckline is trimmed with crocheted lace appliqué collar panels with flower hand crocheted into each lace panel. There are 8 tiny early snaps to close in front and two hook & eyes to close at waist. Condition is very good-excellent, there is slight fading on shoulders. bust: 38" waist: 28" shoulder to hem: 19" underarm seam to sleeve cuff: 15". The light blue skirt feels like a stiff cotton organdy that gathers at waist and looks like the back could accommodate a bustle. Waist has two hook & eyes to close and the very full skirt has 4" hem. The seam stitches are early machine and hand sewn. Condition is very good, there is also areas of slight fading. waist: 24" waist to hem: 39".
